eNetCube

The eNetIO remote I/O device provides you with various process I/O and is supplied in a robust housing for top-hat rail mounting in accordance with EN 60 715.

Power is supplied directly via the network cable in accordance with the IEEE802.3af (Power over Ethernet, PoE) standard. A conventional power supply is not necessary, but can be used as an alternative.

The device family is available in housing variants (-1, -2, -4 and -8). This flexible design of analog and digital I/O in conjunction with intelligent pre-processing means that inexpensive devices for connecting a maximum of 30 sensors/actuators can be supplied for many applications.

Communication takes place via TCP/IP Ethernet using MQTT or a JSON REST API. The integrated homepage enables complete parameterization of the device and can be customized. You can find detailed information on this in our online documentation.

Power is supplied directly via the network cable in accordance with the IEEE802.3af standard (Power over Ethernet, PoE). The robust and elegant housing enables top-hat rail mounting in the control cabinet, use as a desktop device or as an attachment for tripod mounts with a 1/4" inch thread.

All devices can be operated directly in your network environment without registration, app or cloud connection. This offers the highest possible protection for your data.

Concept

Measuring and control devices are ideally connected to the required sensors and actuators directly on site to avoid high cabling costs. Typically, these are locations where a power supply has to be installed first. Both power and data cables may need to be laid.

Regardless of the installation location, the device is operated with a standard Cat-5 Ethernet cable to a PoE-capable switch/router. If this is operated on an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), the functionality of the devices can be guaranteed even in the event of a power failure. The expensive installation of a conventional power supply is no longer necessary. Communication takes place via the existing network infrastructure (Ethernet, TCP/IP) in every company.

The device was developed by MKC and is manufactured at the Wuppertal site. This means that the main part of the PLM/ALM (Product/Application Lifecycle Management) is the responsibility of MKC. For this reason, we are able to

  • adapt the firmware,
  • change the homepage and the housing to your company design (corporate identity) and
  • the conception of a complete embedded system

as a service. You will receive an OEM device tailored to your requirements quickly and cost-effectively and can focus on your actual application.
