When developing complex assemblies, the question of test equipment must already be considered during the design phase in order to achieve the highest possible quality standard.

Today, modern highly integrated components often have the option of carrying out test procedures using JTAG/Boundary Scan (IEEE Std 1149.x) in order to achieve the highest possible test coverage of the circuit. Provided the appropriate components are available, the programming of CPLDs, FPGAs or FLASH components on a circuit board can be carried out during or after the production process (ISP, in-system programming) using JTAG. This eliminates the logistical effort of obtaining pre-programmed components for these parts.

For this reason, we recommend JTAG/Boundary Scan, among other things, to check a PCB assembly or module and to program components. Ideally, we read in your CAD data with the Cascon Galaxy IDE from Göpel electronic GmbH and can generate a so-called interconnection test of the - JTAG-capable - components at the touch of a button.

In combination with our JTAG-capable test adapters and IO modules, this process can be extended so that the plugs and posts of an assembly are also included in the test. Benefit from our infrastructure and many years of experience in test and test equipment construction.
