eNetVario | Modular Control Center for Industrial IoT Applications

The operating system (Linux 10, “Buster”) and the preinstalled applications have been updated and expanded.

M2M communication takes place via sockets or network interfaces using TCP/IP and MQTT, or alternatively via a JSON-REST API.

The Mosquitto MQTT broker and the Node-RED development tool are preinstalled and ready to use. The open-source software Node-RED enables simple graphical programming of your application and is supported by a broad community. A wide range of ready-made “nodes” is freely available for many use cases.

When used in conjunction with other MQTT-capable devices, such as our eNetIO and eNetCube remote I/O devices, the eNetVario serves as the ideal control center for industrial automation tasks or your personal smart home.

To meet advanced security requirements, the second network interface allows devices in separate network segments to be isolated. By default, access from one network segment to another is not permitted, in keeping with the motto: “My data belongs to me.”

We consider network protection via a firewall and encrypted communication using TLS to be a given.
