About us.
What is known today as MKC Michels & Kleberhoff Computer GmbH began in 1979 with a single idea: Peter Michels founded an engineering firm specializing in hardware and software development for the industrial sector. Four years later, he partnered with Lutz Kleberhoff (Dipl.-Ing.) to establish the company MKC.
Even back then, MKC was ahead of its time. With a team of just three employees, the company developed and manufactured industrial computers based on the Z80 CPU and a CP/M-compatible operating system—at a time when “intelligent” electronics were still rare in the industrial world.
A lot has happened since then.
Today, you can rely on over 40 years of experience. Our growth has never been erratic; instead, it has been deliberately sustainable. Step by step, we have expanded our expertise, fostered the professional development of our staff, and increased our capacity. With every new location and every investment, we have grown stronger.
A key factor in our success has been our unwavering focus on customer-specific solutions. While we initially concentrated on developing industrial computers, our focus today is on modern network components for automation and measurement technology—custom-tailored to your specific requirements.
